Press release on Dec 22nd, 2025

Wisehockey and HC Davos have extended their partnership through 2028, continuing the integration of real-time AI-based analytics into the club’s men’s and women’s teams, as well as the Spengler Cup, the world’s oldest invitational ice hockey tournament.

The collaboration, which began in 2022, has enhanced both HC Davos’s performance analysis and fan engagement. The fully automated Wisehockey analytics platform provides a wide variety of real-time sports statistics, automated video clipping for social media, and visualized statistics for arena media and television broadcasts.

HC Davos’s men’s and women’s teams have utilized Wisehockey’s analytics to gain insights into player performance and game dynamics. The Spengler Cup, hosted annually by HC Davos, will incorporate Wisehockey’s analytics for the fourth consecutive year at the end of 2025, offering detailed game data to teams and fans.

The most advanced tracking system with puck, the best mix of reliability and usability, and trusted by IIHF here in Davos. We look forward to continuing the collaboration with Wisehockey,” Marc Gianola, CEO of HC Davos and President of the Spengler Cup, summarizes the collaboration.

Digitalization and artificial intelligence are rapidly changing the sphere of sports analytics. With advanced algorithms, machine learning, and AI solutions, it is possible to develop metrics and tailor data for different audiences and purposes. For instance, Wisehockey’s automated video clipping tool identifies exciting game moments well beyond goal shots while also creating graphics and effects for the generated video clips. With such quick and efficient tools for creating content, HC Davos’s social media team can spend more time on the strategy and fine-tuning the elements that make their audience return to their content.

Wisehockey has also introduced AI technology in many other forms, such as pre-game analysis and automatically generated summaries of practice statistics.

We are delighted to partner with forward-looking organizations. HC Davos and the Spengler Cup definitely belong in the group of visionaries. This collaboration is not only to leverage Wisehockey’s wide range of AI services, but also to find exciting ways to use data and innovate with other third parties,” adds Miska Kuusisto, Wisehockey’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Made possible by Wisehockey’s automated puck and player analytics, HC Davos has also introduced to its fans the Puck Legacy, a unique piece of memorabilia with a digital twist. With a game-used puck comes a QR code leading to the game history of the puck, including all fascinating shot and goal statistics as well as video clips of the most exciting moments played with the puck.
