Wisehockey and the German ice hockey league PENNY DEL extend the official partnership through 2028. PENNY DEL and its 14 clubs have used the fully automated and real-time Wisehockey analytics platform for two full seasons since 2022.
Wisehockey is the current provider of official statistics for PENNY DEL with the automated analytics platform. The league and the clubs also benefit from other unique opportunities of real-time analytics. The Wisehockey platform is installed to all 14 PENNY DEL arenas around Germany.
With Wisehockey, PENNY DEL has been able to take their sports product to the next level. Fully automated real-time analytics enhance coaching and player and sport development. Analytics also provide new digital solutions to fan engagement via multiple channels and to arena entertainment.
As an example of a new unique collectible, in the last spring PENNY DEL auctioned game-used hockey pucks for charity. These were more than just pucks: their new owners can access the pucks’ individual game statistics called Puck Biographies via QR codes.
The PENNY DEL, coaching staff, and sports management have been very satisfied with the easy-to-use Wisehockey platform. The daily operating of the platform is found effortless, and the new data backs decision-making in the fields of sport, entertainment, and marketing.
